COMING SOON!

The Hue-MAN Partnership began as a conversation between Del Gates, V.J. Smith, and Clarence Jones to revise a long-standing Southside Parade down 4th Avenue. What emerged was a plan that extended far beyond 4th Avenue and embraced the importance of Community Health from a Public Health Perspective.
The term Hue-MAN speaks to the reality that all of us have a hue in our skin and we are all human. Our motto is Healthy Men, Healthy Families, Healthy Community. Our vision has always been to create healthier communities through innovative partnerships. And that we have done.
In our short existence, we have provided more than 300,000 health screenings with our community partners. They included Doctors, Nurses, health practitioners, CHWs, and interested community organizations and their members. Hue-MAN’s membership includes institutions of higher learning, governmental departments, both State and Local,  Health Systems, FQHCs, researchers, and community members who want to participate in studies. Our culture is inclusive. We want to work with those who want our communities to be healthier.
Please explore the videos and stories of our journey. You will see the breadth of our work and the impact of a community working together.

Someone asked me, Why do I believe that the Hue-MAN Partnership works?” My response was “We like each other.” We have people who understand the importance of collaboration and authentic engagement.
